Ryan is the managing member and owner of Gertner Murphy LLC. Since obtaining his license to practice law in the State of New Jersey in 2011, Ryan has taken great pride in representing the interests of his clients in a variety of forums throughout the State of New Jersey, from Sussex County to Cape May County, and everywhere in between, including the Superior Court of New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, Workers’Compensation Courts, various Land Use Boards of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, various Municipal Courts, Administrative Offices, and the like.
Over the course of his career, Ryan has found success in a multitude of practice areas. He credits these successes to his ability to connect, individually, with each of his clients – to empathize with his clients by putting himself into their shoes – so as to specifically tailor his approach to each issue with the goal of meeting the needs of the individual client. At Gertner Murphy LLC, we do not believe in the “one-size-fits-all” solution and our slogan is a direct representation of Ryan’s philosophy and his approach to the practice of law. Gertner Murphy LLC is proud to offer “Client-Centric Solutions for Real-World Legal Complexities.” ® It is Ryan’s care for each client, his direct attention, and his ability to think outside of the box to find solutions for the individual person or entity which truly set Gertner Murphy LLC apart from the competition.
Ryan has had the distinct honor of being appointed as Counsel for the Jackson Township Zoning Board of Adjustment, the third-largest town by land area in the State of New Jersey, and was privileged to serve in that capacity from January of 2023 through January of 2025.
Ryan resides in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, with his beautiful wife, Ashley, his two wonderful children, Liam and Olivia, and his two dogs, Myla and Bailey. Ryan may be a great lawyer, but the title of which he is most proud is that of “Dad.” Outside of the office, Ryan puts his family first. You can find him coaching his son’s football team, cheering loudly on the sidelines of various youth sports throughout the course of the year, or just spending time with his wife and children, whether that be out and about or relaxing at home. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys reading, traveling the state in search of the best food, watching or attending sporting events (especially football and hockey), taking in some live music, hiking, or hanging out by the beach.
